STS enjoyed an exciting and successful Bank Holiday weekend at Snetterton as Luca Marinoni Osborne delivered an outstanding performance in the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy series, securing two race victories across a dramatic weekend of racing.
After a superb qualifying session, Luca started from pole position for both Race One and Race Three around the longest circuit on the calendar. He converted that pace into his maiden MINI CHALLENGE Trophy victory on Saturday with a composed drive under pressure, before following it up with a second win during Sunday’s chaotic finale.
The final race of the weekend proved to be one of the most action-packed of the season so far, with multiple lead changes, penalties, and wheel-to-wheel battles throughout the field. Luca remained in contention throughout and was ultimately awarded victory following a dramatic final lap and a post-race penalty for the car that crossed the line first.
The double victory marks a major milestone in Luca’s season and significantly closes the gap in the championship standings heading into the next round at Pembrey.
Speaking after the race weekend, Luca said:
“That race was so intense with the heat… I’m super, super happy.”
The entire STS team would like to congratulate Luca and everybody involved for a fantastic weekend of racing and continued hard work throughout the season.
We’re proud to support Luca and look forward to the next round of the championship.
